Post-Treatment Care
FACE
Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera can be applied liberally using a clean cotton ball immediately after electrolysis to soothe the skin, calm redness, and help prevent infection.
Continue applying Aloe Vera 2–3 times per day for 3 days following treatment.
After Treatment You May Experience:
- Redness, swelling, and sensitivity of the treated area for up to 48 hours.
- The treated area and surrounding skin may feel warm or hot for up to 48 hours.
- Itching as the healing process takes place.
- Small white pustules may form in the treatment area. Do not pick or pop them.
Avoid The Following For 48 Hours:
- Touching the treated area or picking any scabs that may form.
- Self tans, fake tans, perfumes, and perfumed body lotions.
- Direct sunlight and tanning beds. UVA and UVB exposure can cause pigmentation marks to appear.
- Saunas, steam treatments, solariums, and hot tubs.
- Hot baths and showers.
- Swimming.
- Applying makeup to the treated area.
- Applying soap or perfumed products to the treated area.
- Activities that significantly increase blood flow following treatment.
Do not pluck, tweeze, thread, wax, or use depilatory creams between electrolysis appointments. Removing hair from the root interrupts the growth cycle. Trim unwanted hair with scissors if needed.
BODY
Extra care should be taken with treated body areas, especially during the first 48 hours after treatment. This allows the skin to settle, reduces heat reactions, and helps prevent infection of treated follicles.

To prevent irritation, scarring, and infection, do not pick spots or small scabs that may appear after treatment.
Fine scabbing is a normal skin response to electrolysis, especially during the early stages of treatment. Depending on your skin, these reactions may take approximately 7–21 days to fully heal.
